'A Clear Winter Day' is a two thousand and six hundred-word oneshot. Marble comes to Ponyville and meets Fluttershy. After a brief moment of awkwardness, the two decide to build a snowpony.
There isn't that much to say about this story as it is a very simple and straightforward plot. I do have to mention that I really liked the way the author portrayed Marble and Fluttershy's first interaction. Both of them being so awkward around new ponies made for a pretty cute scene and I also like how despite slowly warming up to each other, they never really lose this uneasiness. Marble utilizing her rock-related skills to make a really nice snowpony is also a sweet touch.
The writing, on the other hand, is a bit weird. Many things that shouldn't have "the"-s still get one: "the Ponyville," "knew by the instinct," "slowed down to the trot," etc. Originally I thought this might be an artistic choice, but due to certain other oddities in the prose, I'm more inclined to think that the author is simply ESL. It's not the end of the world of course, the story is still plenty enjoyable, but it did threw me in a slight loop.
Overall: 5/10 It's a cute story, but nothing really stands out about it. If you crave cute Marble content I can recommend it.
