A Vicious Cycle of Nightmares is a 1k body horror story. In it, Rarity slowly rots.
I think the best way to describe this would be serviceable. This is a story where Rarity's body slowly decomposes. Her skin flakes off, sores pop up, she bleeds profusely through the night.
And yet... I don't feel there was anything really tying it together. No greater meaning to her suffering. Nothing to have caused it. No payback for her own hubris. No punishment for how vainly she valued her beauty above all. Not even an allegorical representation of what the rot meant.
I don't mean to sound pretentious, but even just a couple of lines would've helped to bring this from "scenes of Rarity's body falling apart" to "a tale about _". It's a shame, because I think it wouldn't have taken much to achieve that.
As it stands, I don't think I can recommend this to anyone other than those looking for some quick body horror descriptions.
