A stallion has a crush on Princess Luna, and looks for ways to prove his worth. Sadly, he thought dark magic would be the best approach. Oh, and the guy was King Sombra. OoOoOoO
Yeah, this was just fine. I really wanted to like it, though. The potential was there. The prose itself went for a wordy, more classical approach, and had the characters speaking in that quasi-Shakesperean dialect. I don't think it worked all that well, though. Far from making me appreciate the purple prose, I just wanted the guy to get on with it already.
So... Pretty meh. Positive impression overall, but only barely.
