Hypothesis is a 1,5k word Horror story. In it, Twilight does some research.
Alicorns represent the best qualities of each pony tribe. And the best not always mean the nicest.
I really like this story. It intersperses Twilight's thoughts with excerpts she's reading of biology books as well as some history stuff. It's really neat, and I feel it helped build up the atmosphere. It creates layers upon layers that each slowly add to the mood and even though you realise what's going to happen once you hit the halfway mark, it still felt engaging.
Oh, and that ending. Good to know it didn't drop the ball, but it's mean to cap a story with what's essentially a hook for a different story. Nevertheless, it gets a thumbs up from me.
